Last July, ||civilistica.com celebrated its fifteenth year of continuous publication, marking the release of its fortieth issue. As we navigate a period when academic scholarship faces a decline in prestige and confront the various challenges inherent in maintaining a free, open-access scientific journal, we are fully aware that this longevity is made possible only by the loyalty and appreciation of our readership and the authors who, over the years, have entrusted their work to our journal. The texts gathered in this issue were specially selected to represent some of the recurring themes we have proudly showcased in our pages: consumer protection, the dilemmas posed by new technologies, the protection of existential autonomy, civil liability, biolaw, the protection of vulnerable individuals (particularly children and adolescents), and ongoing critical reflection on the interpretation and application of civil law in the country. We extend our sincere thanks to the academic community that has grown around this platform over the years—and we look forward to the next issue!
