This article presents a systematic review of the literature on civil liability arising from child advertising by youtubers. The survey of the articles was carried out in the HeinOnline database, also consulting the Scopus and Web of Science databases. The guiding question of this research was: how to protect children from abusive consumption practices in the virtual environment? Only articles in the area of advertising and consumer protection, children and adolescents were included, with a specific focus on the civil liability institute. In total, five articles were used in the review analysis corpus. The synthesis of knowledge can serve as an alert for consumers about the need for greater protection of children and youth in cyberspace.
