Abstract

Understood as the right to social respect, the right to honor distinguishes itself from other personality rights, fixating its autonomy and determining itself from the idea of normative honor, which still requires elaboration, but denotes from the start the necessity of overcoming the old dichotomy between subjective and objective honor, starting with the premises that sustain the human person in their dignity, and oriented by the rules and criteria of balancing.
