Values and the “open” legal system

In Segni di valore one does not welcome a rigidly dualistic interpretation of the relationship between values and norms: the two entities are in a required dialectic opposition, but in no way mutually exclusive. On the contrary, they are both required; if, and only if, both exist within the legal system, an open system, adequate to reality, able to learn by itself, to evolve, reflecting on the outcomes of previous acts of application.
